Aloha Teachers!
It has been my pleasure to write this blog each week. We have observed the numbers and so many of you are reading and visiting this page! Thank you for your support! Our continued goal is to help you remain mindful of your behaviors so you can take care of yourself and our keiki. We want you to enjoy being a teacher by reducing stress and increasing enjoyment. We want you to learn to manage stress so you will remain in the profession!
This month we have challenged you to be kind to yourself, walk, breathe, affirm, and call Mom or someone as an outlet for your stress. We hope we brought attention to teacher stress and provided potential ways to help reduce it in your life. At the end of every month we will ask you to REFLECT. Think about each challenge, which ones did you like? Which did you actually do? What would you like to learn more about or practice more. Listen to this short 3 minute reflection video Give your thoughts and actions some serious consideration. Remember, this will only work if you work it!
We plan to take a break from the blog in June and will start again in July! As we complete the school year, we hope you will continue reading for the month of May. Our focus is mindfulness and learning how to de-compress after a full and busy school year!
