Teachers Leading Teachers
UPDATE: Want to see what these teacher leaders are sharing in their amazing PD sessions? Check out our website HERE!
Meet Kaimuki-McKinley-Roosevelt's team of teacher leaders who will be designing and facilitating rich professional learning opportunities for our complex's beginning teachers. These exceptional classroom teacher leaders were nominated by their principals because they:
* Are passionate about teaching, innovative, and collaborative
* Have the ability to help others through their knowledge and implementation of instructional and assessment practices
* Have a desire to learn and lead at the complex level
The teacher leaders will be hosting after school sessions on social emotional learning, questioning, student engagement, and differentiation throughout the year. They will also be inviting beginning teachers into their classrooms to observe them as they implement strong practices with their own students.
The teacher leaders will meet throughout the year to collaborate and engage in problem-solving conversations, while also receiving professional development in facilitation and professional development design.
