Here are some treasures I found around the Twittersphere and social media this week...
* Heard of Pear Deck? Matt Miller blogs about 20 ways to use Pear Deck to Engage Students, and his ideas are COOL. He also includes a link at the bottom of his blog that will give you 3 free months of the premium edition of Pear Deck! Last I checked, only 300ish free premium editions were left, so grab yours ASAP!
* I LOVE Google everything, and have been using Google Drawing more and more. Click on this blog entry for 15 FREE Google Drawings graphic organizers- and how to make your own. You are going to LOVE LOVE LOVE the graphic organizers that you can copy and adjust for your students.
* My Twitter pal and 2014 Oregon State Teacher of the Year Brett Bigham was tapped to look at archived Teaching Channel teacher videos and imagine (and share) adaptations that might help learners with IEP's. It is brilliant! Check out his first post HERE.
* Have you heard of sketch notes? It's fascinating! I found a middle school teacher who did an inspiring sketch notes blog that you need to check out!
* My favorite teacher/blogger/speaker/inspiration Sarah Brown Wessling has been busy writing and giving us a glimpse into her classroom. There are so many golden nuggets on her website. Check out her blog entry, "Triggers and Levers: What Physical Therapy Taught Me About Teaching" and then head over to her first of 20 pieces where she digs into an archived lesson. It's fascinating and thoughtful.
